‘Autumn’ Fern is easy to grow and has a low maintainance plant. It has an evergreen fern with coppery red fronds and contrasts with shiny, dark green when matures fronds. The leaves are funnel-shaped with shiny ones and a triangular shape.
It is native to the tropical climate of Southeast Asia. Ferns don’t produce seeds and flowers it is all foliage plants. Autumn Fern is perfect for ground cover in a shady area.
You can plant them in a pot and place them in an area where they can get enough moisture and humidity to thrive. This plant thrives in partial shade and in moist soil. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight which can cause leaf burns.
Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot. Fertilizing them during their growing season using a slow-release fertilizer will help them grow healthy. You can propagate them via division or by spores.
